NOVEMBER 2009 PROGRAMME
An important message from the bar staff:
Please be aware that the basement bar does not open until 8.30pm.
Visitors to the club arriving before 8.30pm are politely asked to get their drinks from the upstairs bar. Thank you.
Tuesday 3rd: Club night at the Charles Dickens pub in Heene Road. Join us between 8.30 and 11pm, for a chance to socialise, make new friends, dance and take part in the raffle. For those who are members there is also a chance of winning the door prize and the snowball, or if you are lucky – both!
Sunday 8th: Cycle Ride with Ray (as if all the dancing the previous night wasn’t enough exercise!). Meet at the Old Toll Bridge at 10.30am for a cycle ride from Shoreham to Henfield. Maybe stop at a pub for lunch at Henfield.
Tuesday 10th: Club Night at the Charles Dickens from 8.30 until 11pm., with a quiz organised by Peter. The more of us who join in the more there is to win! This is always an enjoyable evening, with the usual music to dance to, not to mention the raffle, door prize and snowball.
Saturday 14th: Christmas Market at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton followed by a pub meal. 10.30am – 4pm. The admission for this will be £2.50. If you are interested see Penny or Enid or meet at the museum at 10.30am.
Sunday 15th: Keith’s Walk. Meet at 10.00am in the public car park off Brooks way in Pulborough (turn off the main road by the Oddfellows Arms). The walk will be about seven and a half miles with a few small hills, but nothing too serious. Be sure to bring a packed lunch and a drink.
Tuesday 17th: Club Night at the Charles Dickens from 8.30 until 11pm. Join us for an evening of dancing, socialising with your friends, and the opportunity to take part in the raffle. As usual, there will be the snowball prize and a door prize for members.
Wednesday 18th: Listen to live music while enjoying a meal at Le Spice Indian restaurant. If you spend over £25.00 you are given a free bottle of wine, so let’s see if we can make it worth our while. Sign the list on the notice board if you would like to join in. Meet there at 7.30pm.
Sunday 22nd: Sunday Lunch at the Bowls Club in Pavilion Road, £7.00 for two courses. We need to know numbers this time, so please add your name to the list on the notice board if you think you would like to go.

Saturday 28th: Beetle Drive at Rick’s House 8pm. See the poster on the Notice Board. This is always a hilarious evening, so remember to put your name on the list if you would like to join in, as space is limited to sixteen. Bring your own drink. Nibbles provided.

5th December: We shall be having our Christmas Party at the Bowls Club in Pavilion Road. Please add your name to the list on the notice board if you would like to come. The cost is £10 for members and £11.50 non-members.
31st December: Open house at Penny’s for our New Year’s Eve party. Eat drink and be merry and see in the New Year together.

17th January: Why not perk up our jaded appetites after Christmas and the New Year and meet at Picasso’s for some tapas?
