Dear Members, please note that we cannot have the first Tuesday of each month at the Charles Dickens, so we will be meeting there only on the last three or four Tuesdays of the month.
Friday 2nd August Ten Pin Bowling on the first Friday of the month. Meet in the bar at Worthing Bowl at 8pm. £11.35 for two games. Contact Glyn if you would like to go.
Sunday 4th August Skittles at the Black Horse, Findon. 7.30pm start. Please contact Glyn if you would like to go.
Tuesday 6th August NO BREAKAWAY CLUB TONIGHT. *Comedy Club at Charles Dickens. Starts 8pm. Free entry.
Saturday 10th August Beetle Drive at Rick’s house. Numbers are limited to 16, so get your name down as soon as possible if you would like to go, as this fun evening is always popular. Bring your own drink, but nibbles will be provided. You can contact Rick for more information.
Tuesday 13th August Bingo on Club Night at the Charles Dickens. Doors open 8pm until 11pm. Just a short half hour session, with the opportunity to win a few pounds! This is one of our most popular nights, and there will still be plenty of time to meet friends and dance to the music of one of our own DJs. Usual raffle, door prize and Snowball.

Sunday 25th August Sunday Lunch at the John Selden. Somewhere different for a change! Sunday roasts are £8.95, desserts are about £4.95, and there are vegan options. If you would like to go, please put your name down on the noticeboard list as soon as possible, so that Phil can book a table.
Tuesday 27th August Hilary’s Multichoice Quiz on Club Night at the Charles Dickens. Doors open 8pm to 11pm. Another of Hilary’s short but fun quizzes. Plenty of time to catch up with friends and dance to the music of one of our own DJs. Usual raffle, door prize and Snowball. Collect your September Programme tonight.
Friday 30th August Arun Solos Disco at Arundel Cricket Club. Cheap drinks and a popular venue with Breakaway members. Starts 8pm until 11.30pm. Cost £7 on the door.
Forthcoming Events
Sunday 1st September BBQ on Goring Green (weather permitting). From 12 noon. Bring your own meat, bread, salad and chair. We will provide the barbeques, cakes and a gazebo. Contact Enid for more details.
Sunday 8th September Hilary’s Ferring Walk. Meet 1.30pm near the Bull’s Head, Ferring, BN12 5AR (please do not park in the pub car park). The walk will be along the Ilex Way, with tea and cakes at Kingsley Coffee and Crafts Café, Ferring, then back to the Bull’s Head. Please put your name on the list if you would like to go or contact Hilary.
Friday 13th September Breakaway’s Autumn Disco at the John Selden, with DJ Phil. £3pp. Please put your name down on the noticeboard list if you would like to go. Friends and relations are welcome. Contact Phil.
Tuesday 17th September Richard’s Quiz on Club Night at the Charles Dickens. This very popular quiz will start at about 8pm, and finish at about 9pm, so you need to get there early if you want plenty of time to complete the quiz. Costs £1pp to participate. Teams are of up to six people.
Thursday 19th September *Arundel Jailhouse Blues Night. You will need to book and print your own tickets if you want to go. Tickets are bookable online.

Saturday 14th December Breakaway’s Christmas Party at Hillbarn Golf Club.
